I find it so funny how much Julia talks about being uncomfortable doing portraits only because she's so damn good at it. A lot of it is her ability to include implied storytelling elements but it just cracks me up to hear her be like "I was suffering while making this I found it so difficult" and then come out with a certified banger with so much mood and energy to it

I've now watched the entirety of drawtectives in order to catch up since season three is coming up, but there's one more thing that we need to discuss about celestial spear before moving on was Drawtectives season 2: celestial spear a parallel to Metal gear solid 2: sons of liberty? let me explain... in the first room the drawtectives enter once boarding the celestial spear they encounter a similar yet ultimately unfaithful recreation of the events of season 1 (the murder in crescent hill), sounds familiar? the entirety of MGS2 was a fabricated plan by the patriots to see if they could control a narrative by replicating the events of the shadow Moses incident. this plot also ties in to the overarching plan of Leland Bore: to create a false reality and keep a statuesque that would only benefit him while keeping the various talents hired on the celestial spear in an imaginary simulation of their ideal world, a plan that worked only partially since a few talents of the celestial spear actually managed to reject some elements of their newly installed memories, such as Abayomi, whom picked her own name as apposed to the one given to her by Leland Bore, which is yet another connection to the major protagonist of MGS2: Raiden. and we cannot ignore the use of hypnotherapy although related to a different game in the series (Metal gear solid V: the phantom pain) its inclusion in both titles cannot be overlooked. all that to say there is a great amount of similarities between the two and once you notice that you eventually come to the conclusion that leaves only one question to answer: who are the patriots? (I deeply apologize if you read all that)
